🌿 Ivy Dene Design 2.0 🌿

For much of this year, I’ve been quietly working on something behind the scenes. Not every day, and certainly not as quickly as I imagined, but steadily enough that it’s eventually become real.

My new website is finally live.

Building it took longer than expected. Partly because life kept interrupting, and partly because I was determined to do as much of it myself as possible. Finding a website platform that felt intuitive, flexible, and easy to update was a challenge in itself. Somewhere along the way, I also discovered just how much of a perfectionist I can be.

One of the biggest changes has been the addition of mockups. For the first time, my designs feel like they’re living beyond my screen. Seeing them applied to products and real-world settings has helped me visualise what’s possible, and hopefully makes it easier for potential clients to do the same.

Alongside the website, I’ve also created a PDF portfolio to support my pitching efforts. Putting it together reminded me just how much I’ve learned over the past year, not just about design, but about presenting my work, telling its story, and believing it deserves to be seen.

If I’m honest, there have been moments this year when the dream felt further away than ever. Other areas of life haven’t gone quite as planned, and there were times when I questioned whether any of this was actually leading somewhere.

But looking at the website now, it feels different.

Not because I’ve arrived, but because I can finally see the path a little more clearly.

It’s a reminder that progress isn’t always obvious when you’re in the middle of it. Sometimes you only notice it when you pause and look back.
